The Federal Reserve was created in 1913. Since then, the US dollar has lost over 96% of its purchasing power. That is not a conspiracy theory. It is math. Every time the Fed creates money out of thin air, the dollars already in your pocket buy a little less.
The 2008 bailouts shocked people. Then 2020 made 2008 look modest. Trillions created with a keystroke. The money went to banks, corporations, and government programs while everyday people watched their grocery bills climb and their savings erode. The people who print the money never seem to suffer from the printing.
This song captures the frustration of watching a system that claims to serve the public while systematically stealing from it. They keep printing, and we keep paying the price.
